Baška

Baška is one of the best known tourist resort on the island of Krk, the Adriatic’s biggest island ( 40.578 ha). Krk’s position in the northern part of the Croatian Adriatic makes it the closest island to Central Europe. Baška’s favourable location has ensured its continuous growth and prosperity, as well as a distinctive place on the tourist scene, making the town one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Adriatic.

The town is located in a gentle valley and in a bay surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and flowering broom, with a picturesque background of the rocky mountains of Velebit and the island of Prvić. Baška is also home to around thirty pebble beaches the biggest and most beautiful of which Vela Plaža, 1800 m long, which can take several thousand swimmers with ease. It’s particularly suitable for children and non-swimmers and is backed by bars, restaurants, pizzerias, cafés, hotels, private apartments and other tourist facilties.

People say it is easy to get to Baška, but it's not easy to leave. Those who came down through the green notch of Krk to Baška, surrounded by cliffs and barren land on both sides, know just what we mean!

Baška is a destination that meets all expectations that visitors can have if they want to enjoy the hot summer sun, relax at beautiful beaches and swim in the crystal clear blue sea.
